Department of Radio-Diagnosis

"Radiology is the art of seeing the invisible. It turns silence into diagnosis and shadows into clarity."

"You can’t treat what you can’t see — that’s why radiology is the foundation of modern medicine."

Why Radiology Matters

Radiology is the eye of medicine, offering a window into the human body that no physical examination can match. It supports the entire clinical ecosystem—be it trauma, chronic illness, prenatal evaluation, or cancer detection. This department is not only pivotal to hospital operations but also fundamental in shaping future doctors through visual diagnostics and critical thinking.

By integrating advanced imaging technology with medical education, the Department of Radio-Diagnosis ensures accurate diagnosis, timely intervention, and comprehensive learning for students and residents.

AERB Compliance

The department complies with all guidelines issued by the Atomic Energy Regulatory Board (AERB), ensuring radiation safety, proper machine handling, and adherence to legal protocols for diagnostic radiology.

TLD Badges: Monitoring Radiation Exposure

To ensure the highest standards of radiation safety, all faculty and staff involved in radiological procedures are provided with TLD (Thermoluminescent Dosimeter) badges. These badges are essential personal dosimeters that accurately monitor cumulative radiation exposure over time.

Wearing TLD badges is not just a regulatory requirement but a demonstration of our department's commitment to the safety and well-being of all healthcare professionals. The dosimetry reports are reviewed regularly and maintained as part of our institutional radiation protection program.

Our department strictly ensures that all personnel handling radiological equipment are equipped with valid, up-to-date TLD badges, in compliance with AERB guidelines.

PCPNDT Registration

The department is duly registered under the Pre-Conception and Pre-Natal Diagnostic Techniques (PCPNDT) Act. We uphold ethical medical practices and maintain complete transparency in all prenatal imaging procedures.
