Department Profile

The Department of Community Medicine connects medical education with the health needs of families and populations. Teaching spans epidemiology, biostatistics, preventive medicine, environmental health, national health programmes and community-based research.

Field learning is reinforced through the Family Adoption Programme, Kajlikheda adopted-village activities, Urban and Rural Health Training Centres, health camps, Medical Social Worker support and public-health laboratory practicals.
