Overview
The Department of Orthopaedics at Ram Krishna Medical College, Hospital and Research Centre provides comprehensive care for bone, joint, muscle, ligament, spine and trauma-related conditions. The department manages routine orthopaedic problems as well as emergency trauma cases with emphasis on accurate diagnosis, timely intervention, surgical care and rehabilitation.
The department has a 100-bedded Orthopaedics facility for inpatient care, post-operative management, trauma care and rehabilitation support. It is supported by OPD services, emergency care, operation theatre facilities, radiology support and physiotherapy services.

Orthopaedics is a key clinical department for both patient care and medical education. It plays an essential role in the management of road traffic accidents, fractures, sports injuries, joint diseases, deformities, spine-related disorders and rehabilitation of patients with musculoskeletal disability.
For undergraduate training, the department provides exposure to clinical examination, fracture diagnosis, plaster application, orthopaedic instruments, surgical principles, trauma management and post-operative rehabilitation.
