Department Profile

The Department of General Medicine serves as a major clinical hub for adults with acute, chronic and multisystem illness. It supports diagnostic evaluation, inpatient management, emergency stabilisation, chronic-disease care and coordination with critical care and other specialties.

Dedicated dialysis, endoscopy and rhythm-monitoring support strengthen the department’s clinical scope. Teaching is centred on bedside examination, differential diagnosis, rational investigation, therapeutic planning, longitudinal care and postgraduate clinical reasoning.
