Department Profile
The Department of Dermatology provides medical and procedural care for disorders of the skin, hair and nails, with attention to both disease control and quality of life. The service spectrum includes inflammatory, infectious, pigmentary, autoimmune and chronic dermatological conditions.
Clinical care is supported by inpatient beds, phototherapy, laser-based services, a minor procedure area, skin biopsy support and focused clinics for sexually transmitted infections and leprosy. Academic training uses morphology-based examination, case discussion and procedural orientation.
Accurate morphology-based diagnosis, evidence-guided treatment and procedural care delivered with privacy, continuity and appropriate counselling.

Specialised Dermatology Services
30-Bedded Dermatology Facility
Dedicated inpatient support for dermatological, allergic, infective, autoimmune and chronic skin conditions requiring admission.
PUVA / Phototherapy Unit
Phototherapy support for selected dermatological conditions such as psoriasis, vitiligo and chronic inflammatory skin diseases as clinically indicated.
Laser Unit
Laser-based dermatology support for selected skin, hair and cosmetic dermatology indications with proper counselling and follow-up.
Minor OT
Minor operation theatre support for skin biopsy, cyst removal, wart removal, mole procedures, nail procedures and other minor dermatological interventions.
Cosmetic Dermatology
Aesthetic services including acne scar care, pigmentation management, chemical peels and skin rejuvenation support.
STD / VD & Leprosy Care
Confidential evaluation, counselling, treatment and follow-up support for sexually transmitted infections and leprosy-related conditions.
