Department Profile

The Department of Dermatology provides medical and procedural care for disorders of the skin, hair and nails, with attention to both disease control and quality of life. The service spectrum includes inflammatory, infectious, pigmentary, autoimmune and chronic dermatological conditions.

Clinical care is supported by inpatient beds, phototherapy, laser-based services, a minor procedure area, skin biopsy support and focused clinics for sexually transmitted infections and leprosy. Academic training uses morphology-based examination, case discussion and procedural orientation.
